Biography
As a dedicated public health professional specialized in epidemiology, I am currently contributing my research expertise as a researcher to the Department of Environmental Health at the University of Copenhagen, specifically in the field of air pollution and environmental epidemiology, with a focus on utilizing nationwide registers to advance our understanding of diseases and contribute to the development of innovative health solutions.
My journey in public health began with medical studies in France, followed by a four-year residency in public health and a Master’s degree in health services research. During this time, I broadened my vision of health and medicine and came to realize how crucial the environment is to our health. This led me to pursue a PhD fellowship focusing on the effects of early-life exposure to air pollution, road traffic noise, and other environmental factors on the health and development of children and young adults. My aim is to uncover new strategies to protect our health by leveraging our environment.
I am also involve in teaching activities with universities students, healthcare professionals and other PhD fellow. My teaching is mostly focused on epidemiology training and the danish registers. My other teaching activities all relate to open and reproducible science practices, to train and foster a better science culture to current and future generations of researchers.
In my free time, you’ll likely find me on my bike, chasing goals like conquering the famed pavés of Roubaix or embarking on long-distance cycling adventures.
